There is a new set of fees associated with the new system. The new fees are set out in the Guides referred to below. 

From 1 July 2014, new vehicle number plates will be issued to all vehicles with the exception of G, X and Diplomatic plated vehicles. The new plates will make it easier to identify unlicensed and unregistered vehicles. There will be no fee charged for the initial replacement of the new number plates.
